Joaquin Miller Poetry Series—Elizabeth Gross & Young Poets

Join us at the Rock Creek Nature Center auditorium to hear poetry by Elizabeth Gross and  Jacklyn Potter Young Poets Julien Berman & Renato Econa. Special guest Miles David Moore will read Joaquin Miller’s poem “Columbus.”
 
Bring a short poem for the open reading (sign up begins at 2:45).
 
Plenty of free parking. The Nature Center is located at the far north side of the Horse Stables. Wheel chair accessible.

Elizabeth Gross has a new book this body / that lightning show from The Word Works. Jericho Brown selected this book for the Hilary Tham Capital Collection, special imprint of  The Word Works that honors poets who volunteer to promote poetry and literature.

Our Jacklyn Potter Young Poets were invited from Georgetown Day School in Washington, DC—Julien Berman and Woodbridge Senior High School in Virginia—Renato Econa.
