Café Muse Literary Salon Online

This year we will have two programs live at The Writer’s Center as we test a hybrid program that allows remote audience through Zoom. In 2023, the winners of the Jacklyn Potter Young Poets Competition will read in the June Cafe Muse program. For our schedule, check our  Café Muse Literary Salon Online

Please go to the Café Muse Literary Salon Online website to register for the event. We will send you a reminder email and link by the day of the reading.

The live evening begins at 7:00 PM with Michael Davis on classical guitar. Zoom programs will begin at 7:15 pm with a recording of Michael Davis. The readings begin at 7:30 PM with opening remarks by a Café Muse co-host followed by brief introductions of each poet and the readings. The evening concludes at 8:30 PM, after brief closing remarks.

Application Guidelines

Café Muse programs are set up to one year in advance. While we tend mostly to invite poets, we occasionally include fiction writers, playwrights, memoirists, or writers of creative nonfiction. There is a small honorarium and authors may sell their books. For consideration, email (wordworkscafemuse@gmail.com) a query to with the subject line: Café Muse Query. If we are interested, we will request you use our form to provide the information we need.
